MSTR

This week, several stocks caught investors’ attention, driven by significant developments and market momentum. Here’s the breakdown of this week’s trending stocks:

Strategy ($MSTR) Announces Digital Credit Capital Framework and Share Buyback Programs

Strategy ($MSTR), the world’s largest corporate holder of Bitcoin and a provider of enterprise analytics software, announced a new Digital Credit Capital Framework intended to strengthen its preferred securities, improve liquidity, and support long-term value for shareholders.

The framework is built around five parts: a U.S. dollar reserve policy, a revised dividend policy for one of its preferred stocks, a buyback program for its preferred securities, a buyback program for its common stock, and a program to sell Bitcoin when needed. The company said these tools let it shift between raising and returning capital depending on market conditions.

At the center of the plan is a USD Reserve of about $2.55 billion as of June 28, 2026. According to the company, this cash can only be used to pay dividends on its preferred stock and interest on its debt, and it represents roughly 17.4 months of those obligations. The company also set a policy of keeping at least 12 months of coverage on hand.

Strategy said it will raise the annual dividend rate on its variable-rate STRC preferred stock to 12.00%, effective for periods with record dates on or after July 1, 2026. The company stated that its goal is for STRC to trade close to its $100 stated value over time, though it cautioned that it cannot guarantee the stock will trade in that range.

On the buyback side, the company authorized up to $1.0 billion to repurchase its preferred securities and a separate $1.0 billion to repurchase its common stock. According to the company, buying back preferred securities at a discount could lower future dividend payments and improve its credit quality, while common stock buybacks may add value when shares trade below what management considers their intrinsic worth.

Strategy’s board also approved a Bitcoin monetization program that allows the company to sell some of its Bitcoin to fund the USD Reserve, with up to $1.25 billion set aside for that purpose, and to cover dividend payments, interest, or buybacks when needed. The company emphasized that it remains committed to Bitcoin as its primary treasury reserve asset and that any sales would depend on market conditions and management’s judgment.

Combining the cash reserve with the authorized Bitcoin sales, the company said it has about 25.9 months of coverage for its current preferred dividend and interest obligations.

$MSTR shares rose about 13% following the announcement.

Rocket Lab ($RKLB) to Acquire Iridium ($IRDM) in About $8 Billion Deal

Rocket Lab ($RKLB), a space company that provides rocket launches, spacecraft, and satellite components, announcedthat it has agreed to acquire Iridium Communications ($IRDM), a provider of global satellite voice, data, and navigation services, in a cash-and-stock deal valuing Iridium at about $8.0 billion.

Under the agreement, Iridium stockholders will receive $27.00 in cash plus a number of Rocket Lab shares for each Iridium share they own. The company said the deal carries a notional value of $54.00 per Iridium share, with the stock portion adjusted within a set price range to limit how much the final value can move.

According to Rocket Lab, the acquisition is meant to turn it into a fully integrated space company that designs, builds, launches, and operates its own satellites. The company said combining its launch and manufacturing operations with Iridium’s existing network would let it cut third-party launch costs and add a steady stream of recurring revenue from satellite services.

Iridium operates a global network of satellites in low Earth orbit and serves more than 2.55 million subscribers across aviation, maritime, government, and commercial markets. The company highlighted that Iridium also holds globally coordinated radio spectrum, a valuable asset that supports reliable communications and navigation in areas where GPS signals are weak or unavailable.

To help fund the cash portion, Rocket Lab said it has secured commitments for a $3.6 billion bridge loan from Deutsche Bank and Wells Fargo, and plans to use a mix of cash, debt, and equity. In 2025, Iridium reported revenue of about $871.7 million, which the company said would add meaningful scale and cash flow.

The transaction has been approved by both companies’ boards and is expected to close in mid-2027, subject to approval by Iridium stockholders and regulators.

Stock Price Reaction

$IRDM shares jumped about 25% following the announcement, while $RKLB rose around 15%.

Bloom Energy ($BE) and Brookfield Expand AI Power Partnership to $25 Billion

Bloom Energy ($BE), a maker of solid-oxide fuel cells that generate clean electricity onsite, announced that it and global investment firm Brookfield are expanding their partnership, with Brookfield raising its framework to finance power projects for AI infrastructure from $5 billion to $25 billion — a fivefold increase since October 2025.

The added financing is meant to fund the global deployment of Bloom’s fuel cell systems, which provide fast, reliable power at a customer’s site. According to the company, the expansion reflects strong and sustained demand from hyperscalers and AI data center developers for power that can be deployed quickly and located close to where it is needed.

The two companies said they are advancing a model for “AI factories” that combines power, computing, data center infrastructure, and capital from the outset. Bloom said its onsite platform can be brought online faster than traditional grid connections, which addresses one of the main bottlenecks slowing AI growth.

The commitment is part of Brookfield’s dedicated AI Infrastructure Fund, which launched in November 2025 with a target of deploying $100 billion. Brookfield, which manages more than $1 trillion in assets, said it has already invested over $100 billion in digital infrastructure and clean power assets globally.

Stock Price Reaction

$BE shares rose about 10% in after-hours trading following the announcement.
